Stomach knotted,
blood clotted.
Where do I fit?
I feel like shit.
Happily talking,
nobody baulking -
you suddenly go!
My world takes a blow.
I sit here and think;
my heart starts to sink.
What just happened?
Mood all dampened.
You don't understand
that at your hand
Vulnerability reigns.
I throw off my chains,
display the real me
and choose to be free.
You share quite a ride
help me to decide
to re-embrace life
and yes I'm in strife.
Now happy to flirt,
I'm too open to hurt.
Small things can hit hard,
me, you could discard;
I'm not one and only
and now, I feel lonely.
Get out of my head!
You're already well fed!
I don't need your madness;
it only brings sadness.
I need a distraction -
another attraction?
No, a world just for me
where I can truly be free.
