Description

I know that Tunde loves the constellation Orion, and I promised her a shot of it while it was "standing up" at my lattitude. I finally got a clear night tonight, so here it is. Not much here to postwork, although I did brighten the stars a stop or so. Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

I forgot to mention that even at a 15 second exposure you can see movement of the stars if you look closely. I suppose at this size it just makes the stars look a bit blurry. Yeah, I know, excuses, excuses. :-)

What a great shot! Everything is so clear and beautiful. I use Orion's belt to find the Pleiades - that's my favorite. I don't know much about constellations at all, but for some reason I figured that one out. This is such a beautiful image, my friend ... I keep going back and looking at it over and over again.

You did a great job of showing the whole constellation, not just the belt!

I'm not overly good at connect the dots when it comes to constellations so I love Orion as he is one of the easy ones to find.
