Description

Another one from WWII weekend, pleas let me know if you get fed up, I still have over 300 shots from this week end. Lol. I will have to put some others up and give you a break. I was going to name this check point charly, but then I did the selective bit and changed the title. This was one of the first sites we saw as we entered the Tramway Museum( http://www.tramway.co.uk/ ) and it was at the bridge leading to the army camp. When we first entered we were issued with a replica identity card that we were asked to fill in with some of your details. Both Alan and I filled ours in, but we didn't get pulled all day, some people did, both police and army were asking them to show their cards. At the bottom of the card it said, 'Anyone who is unable to show their identity card will be assumed to be a spy. I did see one couple being arrested, and captured them in handcuffs, I may upload that one sometime. Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make. May the sun shine down on you, where ever you are, unless of course you need rain, then let it pour from the heavens until your thirst is slaked.

Authentic image Jeff with spot-on sepia tones and a great patriotic sight of the Union Jack/Flag. I like the selective colouring it adds much more to this photo. Apart from giving us ID cards to fill in we were given an OLD PENNY each to pay for riding on the Trams. Top day out mate!

Rule Britannia!!!! Great shot! Love the selective colouring, makes the flag pop out of the photo. It sounds like a really great day out!!! I wish they did things like this in my neck of the woods but this lot here are too busy taking statues down and changing the names of towns, cities, and blooming airports!! go figger!! it costs a bloody fortune too!!!

Your selective coloring it spot on ( if I may be so bold as to steal one of your phrases!!)!! What I find just as interesting are the ID cards you mentioned, and what happened if you didn't have one or looked a bit suspicious--my first thought was "what happened after they were led away"??
