Hi Michele, this is a very interesting subject. You know men are very bad at showing and expressing their emotions. I suppose it's the way we have been taught. Shit happens, keep your mouth shut bear it and fix it. Don't show weakness. We have a lot to learn from women in this area. We may just live a little longer if we learn that it's OK to cry when we can no longer bear the pain. Very cool image Michele. At first view, I thought this would be a dedi to George, based on his comment on your previous post. I was a typical man, never cried and kept emotions locked up. Then my late wife passed away and something broke in me. Now I cry like a baby. Happy or sad tears. Like when Meg Ryan finds out that her email buddy is Tom Hanks, at the end of "You've got Mail". Happy tears. I even love chick flicks now...lol. Anyway, awesome image and artwork. Very expressive and top shelf. Bravo, kudos and big hugs from Dave :^)

Now how you did these effects is beyond me....the BW gives it a stronger impact..and the image just says pain and angst.....Yup we do have feelings..often only displayed when we hit our thumb with a Hammer!...seriously great image and perceptive theme Michele!!

Ya think??? My hubby says men have feelings, and I've seen him show them on occaision, like when our First Dog died. If it weren't for these admissions from him, I'd probably not believe it. An awesome image Michele, beautifully and sensitively done. Spring find it's way to your part of NY yet? Hubby was cleaning last winter's debris in the garden Saturday, and found one lonely crocus blooming!

certainly men have feelings...the problem lies in the fact that they often have trouble expressing them--so they repress them--and when they do let these emotions out, it can result in some unexpected, unwelcome events... your image is very powerful and really well done...it certainly does impart the feeling of lock-up anguish...
