Description

Last time I told you I was trying my hand with Macros... so here's my favourite so far... I have tortured this rose so much that I'm starting to pity it. lol... I've taken sooooooo many shots of it, flash and no flash... in the complete darkness, in bright light, and in soft light...I spent maybe more than an hour shooting it...lol I am getting better now... limiting my outings to a great extent... and trying to be the best person I can be to everyone... I've also started a diet... not a harsh one, just eating less... and drinking a LOT more water... I want to lose 10 kilos (about 22 pounds)... just what it takes to look the way I want... I hope you like this one... I want your honest opinion,everyone... Have a wonderful day... Love, Nahla

You ARE getting better. See how practice can be fun? I love taking shots over and over. This is nicely detailed. It might have a little too much light but that is personal preference. Most of my shots are dark anyway. Congratulations on making so much progress! I am also glad to hear you are slowing down and looking at taking care of yourself. I wonder if 22 pounds is realistic but everyone has a weight they feel good at. I'm proud of what you are doing both with your life and with your photography.

Nice flower, colour and veined texture, Nahla. A lovely 'macrose'.. ;o) I can see a lot of spots on the rose, though. Is this the lens, or just our common enemy, digital 'noise'? Re the perfect weight, my colleagues used to 'slag' / 'rib' / make fun of me because of my weight. When we had to run after and catch someone ( over 200m ), and on broken ground, I was always the one who got the capture. When you are happy with yourself that means less stress, less 'comfort eating', and with a sustained, but measured, reduction in intake, less weight. A 'win - win' situation... 'o) You are still in my prayers, my friend. Warm regards, from a snowy Glasgow, John

This is beautiful!! Yes, all it takes is practice. I'm still on my diet, of course. ;o) Good luck on yours.
