Description
In 1916 the iconic words "DEM DEUTSCHEN VOLKE" (meaning "To the German people" or "For the German people") were carved on the architrave above the main facade of the Reichstag building, much to the displeasure of the Kaiser who had tried to block the adding of the inscription due to its democratic significance.

I'm glad to see your pics of the Reichstag looking like it should. As a World War II buff I usually encounter the photos of it burned up in 1933 or shot to hell and gone in 1945.
