Description
This is my first attempt at this style. I started with a picture of a girl and outlined her. Then I started trying to match the shading. I want to get more realistic, but I'm happy with this for now.

The color is great, but if realism is a big concern (which I don't think it really needs to be, with this style) then you may want to reduce the light on the character's back, because she's standing in front of the sun. Also think you ought to carry on the line work to the major features in the background like the shore line and the horizon, although probably not as thick a line there. I think you ought to outline the hair a bit as well, maybe with a very thin line.

You know I was thinking that same thing about the outlines... Is there a way to upload an update, do you know? Or do you just have to upload another image and have two of the pretty much same image in you gallery? As for realism, I wanted get to about 80% real looking, giving me room to be stylized and satisfy my need to be very clean. This is a great comment, thanks for your time.
