Description

Here is yesterdays post shot from a different angle "(Click Here)" . The lava had filled this area after we left, crossed the road and made its way to the sea. It is the End of the Road. That "White House" on the hill was last seen on April 1 and had survived the onslaught of the lava flow. He now has a front seat view of the lava but I'm pretty sure he had evacuated because of the smoke. I had posted his house called "Friendly Neighborhood" before. I hope his house remains in tack. Hope you all liked and enjoyed this lava series. I appreciate your interest. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

SapUS59.....The temperature of lava itself may be between 700° to 1,250° Celsius, which is about 2,000° Fahrenheit. It is very hot... Aloha

The series has been amazing Erol, sorry if I cannot always comment, but I have been looking. All these scenes to me are so scary, and I cannot imagine how it must feel having a house so close to a lava flow. Thank you for showing us with your excellent photography just how dramatic and dangerous Mother Nature can be. hugs Jane xx

This series has just been amazing, although your lava shots always are. I live in Oregon and last night on the local weather they showed the lava from this pouring into the ocean. It was just amazing to watch and I cannot imagine the thrill it must be to see this in person. Your series gave us a front row seat. Thank you.

Wonderful shot, Errol! I love the red glow on the rock on both sides of the flow, and the guy in the blue shirt holding his arms up shows that it's as hot as it looks. This has been an excellent series.

Honest, if you stop to think about how hot rock must get to melt like that, you learn a new respect for sights like this. Outstanding shot.
