I am not an expert but to me this looks good. The composition is set up good and interesting with a nice color contrast. There is depth in the composition also,it doesn't look flat and the idea is original and creative too. I like all the different shades of brown,it gives the whole thing a warm feeling. To me it's a cool idea and i like the outcome of your experiment. I know that you wanted points to improve but right now i do not see them, so i just told you what i liked.lol. keep on experimenting & take care.

I think its perfect the way it is. It looks to me like you even wat the stones to give them more depth and subtle reflections. Love it!

My only thought is that you have that bit of purple in the upper corner that could be removed. Also, the yellow petals are great for color contrast but they obviously don't go with the Johnny-jump-up, so you might think about how to tie those yellow petals in to the composition. I love the pov and the lighting on this. I think you could experiment with the candle idea or lighting that creates longer, deeper shadows for more drama. But what you've done is really quite excellent.

super! I agree with Mrs. L about the top right, but it's lovely as it is!

did you crop this caz ?.the point raised should help you .my thoughts would be to try and get the light to show reflections of the the colours .did you fire the flash or is this just the lamp .lastly try different watt bulbs and going for lower watts and no flash would warm the composition up . mick

I am no expert so cannot really give you any good expert advice, but as an onlooker would maybe have liked to have seen a little more of the subjects, like zoom out a bit. All told though it is a wonderful idea with colourtones and different textures. I think your lighting works well, but then as Mick says you can experiment and play around with your lighting. There are some fabulous photographers here who can give you great and useful advice. I always look forward to your gallery for the diversity. hugs Jane xx
