Description

Somewhere out in the vast cosmos, other species of similar intelligence may also begin probing and charting the worlds in their own solar systems. I uploaded this large, 1400 pixels if you want to look at it full size. All moons made in Mojoworld. Simulated ring/dust system made using Dmytry's volumetric plug-in. Fonts found on my computer. Not a great fan of these fonts but they were the most alien i could find so if anyone knows where to download more 'alien' looking text fonts let me know. Regards. Shaun.

Shaun Love the concept of combinig a lot of your other renders into a single set & the theory stands. Have you thought about creating the starmap as a 3D object that could be rendered against a starfield or other so what you create becomes part of a scene again?! I think the text is too large IMHO If that was 24 pt text then I think a 10pt & more of it wouyld look better. As w dont need to be able top read it you could just copy paste chunks & chunks so long as the pattern isnt too obvious :) Fonts:- http://www.1001freefonts.com/afonts.htm OR try creating yopur own alien fonts very simply by using standard text. Look at this image... http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1622855&member ..the font used is windows standard Tahoma (OK Photoimpact allows me to create it as 3D) & its says "carbon" but I just Z-merged 2 copies of the word 1 was inverted :) Another alien font Ive used:- http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1225174&member

Great. Some of these pictures could pretty good stand by their own. :) Especially the ones with the asteroids/rings/dust in them. Fave.

for alien fonts, go to a web site called Tommy of Escondido...he's covered most of the bases, even though he no longer updates the site....

This is phenomenal--I especially like the "ring dust" closeup picture, that could have been a Nasa/jpl concept picture. This would look super on a ship display, too;-)
