Description

Half a dozen sulfur crested cockatoos arrived in a fruit tree behind my house very early this morning. Never one to let a photo chance go by I grabbed my camera and sprinted to my back fence, still in pyjamas and slippers and trying to ignore the fact that it was very cold outside.. 5 of the cockies were happy to munch away on the fruit, but this guy put on quite a show for me and obviously seemed to be enjoying himself.

They can be so entertaining and playful. Gorgeous, spur-of-the-moment capture.

Wow! I would absolutely flip if something that wonderful flew into my yard. Great shot - I'm so jealous now.

Amazing capture, well worth the cold, I think. We never get anything like that here! Well done!
