"Today's assignment is to turn this rat into a houlifar." Beautiful image. I like the little rat there in the cage next to her. So many possibilities for it come to mind. Funny how one tiny detail adds even more story than you'd think, hehe. I really like the scene in its entirety. The starry sky is beautifully done as well, btw :D

I know what a point light is, but "soft focus" ? Forgive my ignorance, but can you please explain how to make such a light? (It works wonderfully here by the way).

Light bulbs, fires, etc. give light off from their entire surface, not just one microscopic point in space. Up until Poser 7, any point source light was just that, a point source. In Vue, Bryce and numerous other render engines, the soft focus point light was standard,... now we have one in Poser. Whatever the render engine mechanics, it basically takes a point source light and gives it an out of focus edge, like real shadows. No more sharp lines,... and no more having to spend hours and hours exporting into a different render engine to get that effect. Also, the soft edge appears to be an angular factor in the Poser 7 render engine,... the shadow of an object touching the surface where the shadow starts has a sharper edge than the shadow does with some distance of separation,... perfect.
