Description
This is a stone where they would sacrifice whatever was being sacrificed - i think they did human sacrifice, tho cant be sure... anyway it was part of the "complex" of ruins at the north end of the island. The island of the sun was the birthplace of the inca and this plynth was opposite the sacred rock of titi'kaka where the gods were supposed to have created the first inca. So it is like their mecca, or jerusalem...
Anyway, played with the clouds for this compo...
Enjoy!

(exercising a couple of posts per day to get through these before i get bored of peru shots - just going through some of the jungle adventures, so another mini series coming up as well)

Another great shot of a place I likely will never visit. Another awesome sky to compliment the shot as well. Good stuff.

It looks like Soundgarden should be playing in slow motion in the foreground. Excellent shot, great atmosphere and composition and I especially love how close the sky looks to the ground.

If it's Inca, there may very well have been human sacrifices. This is another shot where the clouds are spectacular. I wonder if you might have been directly under the jet stream that day. Remember, you'll get tired of these before we will, since we weren't there. :-)

Well what can i say lots of different lines and shapes that draw the eye into this picture.Must say is not often that one see such straight aligned clouds. Focus and composition is spot on.The rocks placed in the foreground gives the pictures a feeling of depth.
