A wonderful long shot, Nahla. It is very peaceful, and calming, reassuring, and ( considering the frozen winds up here at the moment ) warm. Thanks for the dedication, my friend. I am honoured. One question, though. How did you get them to stop the canal traffic for you, so that you could take an unrestricted shot of the Canal? ;o) Your photograph gives a good impression of scale, and of the amount of work that the canal builders must have undertaken in the 1860s. It has proved so useful and so necessary since it was built. We must surely salute the vision, drive and effort of all those who worked on it, and those who gave their lives in its building. It is a a modern engineering 'Wonder of the World'. You must be proud of it in Egypt. Warm regards, and continued prayers, from a cold Glasgow, John.

Extraordinary sight and not very common to see deserts lining a water canal of this size.
