Description
“Another Tale”
The old starship was once part of a mighty fleet during the Solar Conflicts of 5334. Following the war's end, the ship has now found a new life in the service of Interstellar Tours, ferrying tourists through the beautiful cosmos.
Veronica hurried down the corridor. She was already fifteen mecs late meeting her date in the ship's restaurant. A cold chill suddenly coursed through her body. She stopped, catching something out of the corner of her eye. She turned... Standing before her was a shimmering transparent shape of a man wearing the antique uniform of the Solar Defense Force. He was badly burned over most of his body. His uniform was shredded and burned away in places showing the charred flesh.
“Help me..”, he said in soft raspy pained voice. He turned, waving for her to following him, and then stepped through the bulkhead and disappeared.
Veronica screamed in terror, and pointed to the place where the figure had been. Crewmen rushed down the corridor to her, but saw nothing. The SS Nova's Light continued it's course - worming its way through sub-space in a region known to some as “The Devil's Triangle”.
