Description

Another shot from the park in December. It's been sitting there in my folder for lack of a title... I let my daughter name this one. LOL. I took this shot late in the afternoon, when the sun was low and the shadows were long. I was just walking around and all these golden leavens were on the ground and the sun was shining through them. It was a gorgeous sight. My previous upload, "'Til Death". Thank you for commenting and viewing. Reading your comments on this one, was very exciting to me. I had a hard time verbalizing what I felt in this shot, and you put the words down and I thought "That's it!" Yes. Thank you. Have a Happy Hump Day! ~Melinda~

Excellent composition and macro shot. The colors work very well together and the light casts just enough shadow and not too much. Wonderful framing.

As you can see, there's nothing like early morning and/or late afternoon sun angles to bring a photograph to its full potential, at least when it comes to shooting things flora. The terrific lighting and textures displayed in this foto really exemplifies that point. And the pun in this title is most obvious. "Leaf me alone!" would have been apt also.
