Description
In the cavern of Abok'Dor is where the infamous river Innari runs into the giant lake of Alyessium. Known for its bioluminescent fungi and mystical crystal clear glowing waters as well as its size, it is a beautiful site that few could ever imagine. But for those seldom few that do behold its magestic beauty, even less survive to tell the tale. For light and sound are both certain death in the Underdark, for they can attract many an unwanted guest. And this place has plenty of both.
But Ti'lef the Drow huntress knows this is the quickiest route to the surface from here. And so does her prey. She knows that her prey must have come here, throwing caution to the wind in exchange for speed. Following the river close to the surface will save an extrodinary amount of time. But the risks are also great. But she must find her, otherwise the spider queens wrath may fall apon her instead.
Through her invravision she detects many heat signitures, but most are far to big to be the prey. But also means the have unwanted guests. Her slave abomnination Drider (half drow/half spider) has lost the trail as well, although the cursed wretch has been known to be quite the tracker on occasion. No such luck yet so the wretch makes itself usefull and stands guard, while this is left up to the Mindflayer.
The Mindflayer uses its telepathic abilities to scan the area trying to pick up any psionic traces of any other sentient being, hoping that one of them might be their prey. But what it detects is too many lifeforms about, making psionic tracking of the prey nearly impossible, not to mention extremely dangerous due to all these unseen creatures about.
But right then, when its about to focus elsewhere, it senses her. The quick fleeting thoughts of a female drow, both powerful and determined. Nearly as stealthy to detect with the mind as they are with sight or sound. But in her haste, she slightly looses focus and just for a momment, the Mindflayer detects just a glimmer of her. Its long gaunt fingers glow red in anticipation, while its tentecals writhe. It raises it's hand to the direction of their prey. Not a moment too soon, as Ti'lef notices movement of unwanted guests closing in. Tallaralin is close, the hunt is on...
I hate saying it but I really suggest full view on this, the way its was intended to be seen. You just get a better feel for the piece I think personaly anyways. I was going for a cover or poster effect rather than a clean computer poser render. Came up with a little backstory to help setup the piece. Sorry its so freaking long but it was late and I got bored and carried away. I dunno man lol, anyways thanks for looking and have a good one.
