The original was painted in 1939, oil on canvas 42x60 inches and is on display at the Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa, Oklahoma and is copyright The Estate of Alexandre Hogue.

This is a Bryce version of one of my all time favorite paintings.
I have wanted to do a version of this for years but just recently got up the nerve to attempt it, hoping to do the original justice.
A lot of terrain work and post work involved, I rendered it 2 times with the soil dark and light,
then in Photoshop I layered them and erased the dark layer in places to allow the light layer to show through.
