Description
This is one of my nocturnal visitors almost every night. Sometimes they come in two's, and once I was lucky enough to have the whole family around. It's call an Opossum and is the only living marsupial (mammal with a pouch) in North America today. But still it's not very pretty!

they around here too. my son saw my cat one time playing with one. guess it was a young opossum . that cat played with eavery thing. that was about 20 years ago so the cat gone too. but this is a lovely shot of one

You're right, I don't think they'd ever win any beauty contests, but they are neat critters to watch. Nice capture. : )

Very nice photo of this guy! and yeah I have seen some before on the fence, and also I do know these are full of diseases! and sometimes can be very defensive if cornered!

I have a few of these come thru my yard at night in the Summer and they do have a set of teeth on them...so I and the dog keep away...far away!

No and I have seen it's TEETH! They are really enough to put one off!! When I was a little girl, my Mom showed me one on our front lawn, playing dead... that is when I saw it's teeth in it's open mouth! whoaaa!!! :0 Great shot, though, as I assume this is night!
