Description

It's been a long trail drive and the ranch house is, finally, in sight... Downtown Oklahoma City; these statues are part of a display of bronze statues commemorating the land run in Oklahoma of 1889. From the web site of sculptor Paul Moore... ""Oklahoma Centennial Land Run Monument" , (365’ long; 46 life and a half elements), Bronze, Commissioned by the Centennial Committee, State of Oklahoma, Federal Government, and the city of Oklahoma City, to be placed at Bricktown, Oklahoma City, OK. Seventeen bronze elements completed and installed. Currently, five additional pieces are being sculpted or cast. Estimated completion 2015. I've gone on several occasions trying to find a position and POV to excluded the buildings, highway and other modern features. I've finally settled on this one having to clone only two or three light poles and high line wires. Some saturation was also added. I like the "feel" of this shot I wish I could have been a bit more creative with the title but was drawing a blank :( Thanks, everyone, for looking and I would appreciate any critique you would care to offer. Manning

cracking shot, they say a picture is worth a thousand words and this conjures up a whole realm of thought centred around the cliche of a character 'riding off into the sunset' but your pov is nice and fresh and the postures of the men lead the eye effortlessly through the composition. the sunset looks like it was pretty spectacular too. critique wise i might have preferred it a tiny bit sharper but that's about it, really nice work!
