Description

It was a great suprise to see this FOX out in the daylight, nearly dropped my camera lol. They are very common around the towns but rarely seen. The farms here are very small holdings, on small green areas surrounding the towns with patches of large industrial buildings scattered around. This was too far away to get a good shot even on full zoom, I have cropped as much as I dare, cropped out a full flock of geese from the foreground grazing on the grass. But I thought it worth uploading, thanks for viewing, Alan.

Great! I live on a beach, and I have even seen them sunning themselves on the sand! They look so out of place. I love the way they seem to walk on their toes. I remember also passing one whilst I was riding my bike. He just casually walked past me with a huge rabbit in his mouth. I wasn't expecting it and got such a surprise!

The fox asks the mothersheep: "May I have a look at your baby?"......LOL... And then the canadian goose! Looks like a judge. A great capture! I had to laugh out loudly. You made my day, Alan!

Excellently spotted and captured Alan, good to see they do survive despite man's enmity and hatred of these animals.

When I worked nights for Stret Lighting Alan, I used to see quite a few foxes in town, I have seen them on Yorkshire Street and behind the Town Hall, near the police mortuary. I often wondered if the smell of death brought them to the latter. There used to be a few in Springfield Park as well. Excellent capture as Stef 7 says, a case of right place right time. Bravo!!!!!

A great capture Alan. I am glad you posted it. That goose sure is keeping an eye on him. Seeing him during the day time must be kind of unusual. It must have set off alarm bells all over the place. I can just picture you when you saw him lol. BTW, thanks for describing you immediate neighborhood, looks like a lovely place, Sig...

here we have many coyotes and the females will purposely attract dogs and when the dog ventures too close the gang of coyotes will attack and eat the dog.I have never seen a fox in the open and of course the UK is famous for fox hunts.seems like I heard the your government allowed the hunting of foxes for sport,so maybe they need to start again
