Could some be offspring of a Mallard/Black paired with an American Black Duck.as Pop said it maybe never known since the fable of Las Vegas"what happens in Las Vegas stays there"
I took this in a Aliana park in Las Vegas.I assumed it was a he and was friendly.I walked right up to it.

Yep, I have mallards too. And they are ducks. But my males have a white stripe around their necks and their tail feathers curl. That's how one knows their identity. Hugs Richard
