Description

there's a long story behind this. just happened to have downloaded the GTOPO30 dataset from USGS (whopping 33GB DEM of the entire earth). opened, stitched together, chopped it down to reasonable 5000x10000 grayscale image with my own "surfPPC" program. later just happened to make a watch model in bryce and it needed something on the face. it's really a squished sphere under the glass. on its website, the winder is a hot spot that appears to flip it over between the south/north polar view... it could be rendered, well, "very large" but not FULL SCALE of course. ok? so now - just enjoy it! :) seeya next week sometime...
