I believe…... there is someone on here that likes Fire Trucks....
A lot of rust holding this poor old thing together.. the mirror.. if you notice is all rust.. I choose the transportation category for this, but I think its fire fighting days are over.
I hope you enjoy this one, saw it as we were out for a drive last weekend sitting off to the side of the road, and it caught my eye.. And thanks to those that viewed or commented on my last picture.. and a few that added me as their favorite artist I was very flattered.....Have a wonderful weekend. Along My Walking Trail ... Springtime...

I've often said that decay is one of the most articulate states of nature: It's not decay so much as life-process that we don't want to see—but it has a life of its own. This is a portrait almost in the same way a human portrait is: You got its age, its dignity, its almost defiant presence, and you captured its beautiful hues of decay. The rust is beautiful, the faded paint is beautiful, the rusty mirror—which you point out—is beautiful, almost like car-moss or truck-lichen. It's nature's process spilling all over metal......And you've captured it in a pose like an old warrior taking his/her last photograph in uniform. In the city, we'd call this "junk"; but in the country, it has real dignity. When I've been through the south & the appalachians, I've been struck at how the simplest rusted trucks take on a venerable stature you just don't see elsewhere. You captured that here, with the beautiful forest behind it. A beautiful image made with real love.
