Description
Here is one of four caterpillars that I found scurring across the front porch. I tried to capture this one on a twig, but whew, I did't realize that these things moved so fast!
I think they were scurring along so hurridly because we are under a tornado watch. To let you know how fast they move, I went out with a towel on my head, because I just washed my hair.
I kept hearing what I thought was a gurgling sound, and thought that water had gotton into my ear although I didn't feel any.
I turned my head to the side to let any water drain, nothing came out and the sound got louder and sounded more like marching..imagine my surprise as I put my hand on the 4th caterpillar!
I'm glad that my hand was in the camera strap or it would have another one that bit the dust due to my clumsiness

What a delicate animal… I have always be fascinated by these hairy animal… But take care: they are said to be extremely dangerous for our pets, especially for dogs.
