Description

Some of the seeds must have fallen off of the marigolds I planted (last year) in the planter above this and one was desperate to survive. It came up in the tiniest amount of dirt, in the crack of the cement. I didn't have the heart to pull it, so I give it water and we'll see how long it will survive there. (if you look close enough, you will see a ladybug larvae, which I didn't even see until I looked at the photo!) Thank you for your comments. My previous upload, "Firecracker Fuschia". Have a Fabulous Friday! ~Melinda~

Sometimes my best and prettiest flower is the one that comes up voluntarily. This is an inspirational shot.

Hmmm, all I ever get coming up through the cracks in my cement are weeds; hardy, but terrible, weeds.... Wonderful POV employed in this capture of the handsome and determined marigold, Melinda!

so many times I overlook a small bug while shooting flowers and see after the fact just like you. today I was shooting flowers and when I looked on my computer I seen a tiny bug that was literally covered in pollen almost to not being able to fly. very beautiful marigold and macro

Such an astounding capture of color! Fantastic image! It's been a while since I've been around, and I have to say that it's good to come back and see things like this! Great work, and a wonderful commentary on the tenacity of life, beauty and all of the other things that this image so eloquently conveys. Fantastic work.
