Description

Lame title, yes I know. Everything was made inside TG2. The canyon was made using procedural methods from the tutorial at this site (http://en.tgblog.de/). Of course, I did some more things to bring this image together. It is really more of a test of the final result than a serious image. No postwork (except for my name ).

Excellent surfaces and water color...It should be interesting to see the same picture with lower water level...

Where the overhangs meet is a bit confusing - are they touching? If so, then you have created an "arch" effect using only displacements - proving it can be done. I'd suggest introducing a bit of the strata shader to break up the regularity of the formations. Ambient lighting is superb! A very good start to something big!

I agree with all the comments above. The curved bits of rock need just a little bit more 'jaggedness'.

Agree with Rich2 about the rock forms and displacements. For everything else (light, colors, water) that's excellent.

I agree with Rich about that one spot. It doesn't look too real. Then again, who am I to talk about real looking art? Lol! But for the rest of this masterpiece, its stunningly gorgeous! Bravo & well done! ***** ")
