Another Genewar related piece, this is a character design test for the Archangel Gabriel, who is featured heavily in the story I am writing. Gabriel is a member of an immortal ancient race of beings who have evolved beyond the need for a physical body and now exist as pure living energy. She is a diplomat by nature, preferring to find peaceful solutions if possible, but nonetheless she is willing to go against the other angels and interfere in the affairs of mortals in order to allow the story's main character, Kirney to fulfill her destiny and defeat the evil that is embodied in the Star Empire. Gabriel will act as a sort of non corporeal mentor to Kirney in books two and three of the story, often appearing to our hero in her dreams, and very occasionally in person. The angel Gabriel that is spoken of in the bible is thought by some to be male, and by others to be female, I was initially going to go for a male Gabriel, but decided to go for a female one instead. Put together in Poser 7 using Daz content, and an angel wings figure I modeled myself in Cinema, rendering and addition of a freebie background was done in Carrara 6, slight postwork in Photoshop.
