To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

it may be that what's bothering you are possibly the shape/size of the little [gate?]house, the length of her neck, arm position or overall body positioning. i'm no artist, just an observer, so take this for what it's worth. smiles BUT the symbolism in every element is clearly visible . Your brilliant creative concepts come "barreling" through yet again. smile ..... and I do so love your work! by far my favorite artist on this site!

I love the light in this Mina, and it does remind me of coming from the depths of one's own unconscious mind and bringing those things into the light. Wonderful work...if this is bottom of the barrel, I would be interested in seeing what you delete! :)

Great image! It's definitely coming along, and I like it as it stands, but then I'm just an observer who has been away for a long while! I didn't see all of the work that went into this, and I definitely WOULD NOT consider this a bottom of the barrel piece, but on the flipside of that, I know how you feel. There's always that ONE work that defies completion; it always hovers on the border of being done, and when you look at it objectively, it's gorgeous in all of the right ways, but has--perhaps--one star too many, or too few. That's usually how it is with me. And having said that, I love this image and I'd definitely consider it finished. I'm back and this image is one of the reasons why. I love the complexity of it, and I do feel that it stands well by itself.

This is so lovely, all about light and magick, even though I am long done with Virgil! I still remember those high school years: Latin is a dead language It's plain enough to see It killed off all the Romans And now it's killing me! Back to your image...obviously the bottom of your barrel beats the rest of the cream of the crop =)
