Like the night time idea Woz, just a little dark at the bottom of the render. Its a shame spotlights dont work on volumetrics otherwise you could have ambiently lit some of the lower part. Though you could try using the 'ambient' section in volumetrics, it should work (to a degree). Great choice of sky colours.

Intriguing darkness and wonderful urban textures. It has a feel of being familiar and foreign all at once and I love the twilight hues here. In a way, it reminds me of Geidi Prime in Frank Herbert's Dune Universe, but I suspect that those similarities are due only to my love of the original Dune novels...this image is completely original, but I like that little association made in the warped convolutions of my mind. Great work here.
