Description

This is some sort of Sparrow .. so many different kinds, I browsed through my bird book last night. I think I'll leave it up to Danny. The bird pro :) Anyway, this was taken Saturday - when the sun was finally shining here in Minnesota. Birds were everywhere ... singing and flying around. It was a great sight. I hope you have a nice day. Happy Monday :) Shari

Yes, my bird book lists 3 dozen kinds of sparrows. This certainly is a beautiful little one with lovely chest markings. Very nice shot with the pine needles.

All markings point to it as being a Fox Sparrow, wonderful capture and post work.

Great capture and post work treatment. The markings resemble those of the fox sparrow?

cool little picture :) hey know what I'd love to see? some shots of that elusive little critter called the 'humming bird'. I keep trying to catch a good shot of one but the buggers just dont like to stay still long enough for me to snap a shot of them. If you've got any good shots of one please post :)

Cute little chap I would agree with Piet in it being a Fox sparrow as it appears to also be quite large..

Great composition and post work. It would make a great Christmas card design with the conifer needles and soft white background!
