Description

It been a long time since I posted on here. Thought I would post one of my latest shots. I took this this afternoon with my newest toy. Canon 40D, Canon 100-400, Sigma 2x Tele Converter. Shutter 1/100, F 11.0, ISO 100, Taken in Raw, sharpened, adjusted contrast and cropped. Tell me what you think. Thanks. Jim

Oooh, my, well done! Love that the moon's pimples are so vivid. Jealous you have the 40D canon! So close you feel you can almost touch the moon. Well, I did. Now, just have to go and 'huh' on my LCD screen to get the grubby marks off:0) Wonderful shot.

I think it's very good work, great details of craters and moon-sea. Nice the effect shadow with the dark sky, bravo ^__^

Thanks for you comments, I've noticed at different phases of the moon more detail can be obtained, as you mentioned your setting s are much the same. I shot mine at ISO 400 and shutter speed at 250, also mine is manually focused which might account for more detail. Still a great capture with plenty of visible detail
