My baby...luv my Jeep 4x4. Do I take it rock-crawling and off-roading? Hell no... No way, no how...... Â
I have been working with 3D digital programs for about 6 years time. My first experiences with the world of 3D digital art were Terragen and a terrain generator program called World Machine. After learning Terragen, I moved on to Bryce where my major interest in creating landscapes, SciFi and interior space renderings now lies.
Other programs which I experiment with and use are Vue7, Apophysis and Incendia. Postwork tools I usually use for enhancing the original renders are PSP Pro X, PhotoScape 3.3, Paint.Net, MGI PhotoSuite and FastStone Image Maker. Occassionally I also enjoy taking photos with my Nikon S52 Digital camera. Here at Renderosity you will find works of mine using all of these mediums.
As an artisan, I have always had a deep love and respect for architecture, especially modern and future design development. You will see that reflected in some of the 3D renderings here in my gallery.
Originally, I'm a Northeastern United States native (anthracite coal region)....half Welsh, half Bavarian in ancestry.... and live some 1,400 feet (about 475 metres) above sea level in the Appalachian mountain chain along with my Shih-Tzu, Max and my cat, London. However, I prefer the lure of the beach and ocean and especially love the Chesapeake Bay region of the East Coast. Â
Take a few minutes to look thru my gallery and leave a comment or two if you like. Everyone here at Renderosity is unique in their work and individual abilities.  Personally speaking, I have been blessed with the friends I have made from around the world and for being a part of this community for the past 5 years. The human touch! I know some fascinating people who grew up in lighthouses - this is a worthy tribute to them.

I sometimes wonder if 'after' the age of electronics and GPS, whether people (those left) will once again navigate by the Moon and Stars and suddenly, on a moonless night, one of them will say... "Hey, let's build a big house with a light on top!".
Mad-Mike
Yes the moon would make a great guiding aid, and this is a wonderful scene here! very nice Keith!
capelito
Wonderful scene. Excellent work.

We have a lighthouse here which doesn't look too different from thus one, although its built on rock and approached by a causeway at low tide. The angle of view and the clear starry sky provides a good accompaniment to this image.

Lighthouses hold such a fascinating sense of mystery and adventure in our history. I like Marilyn's likeness to the moon and the stars. Beautiful work on this scene, Keith. You've brought this lighthouse to life so well with the stars and hint of moonlight. Excellent art!

An excellently modelled lighthouse Keith, I can see your modelling skills increasing. This has a great POV and the night-time atmosphere and your use of lighting certainly makes it stand out really well. I like the foliage at the front as well. A definate fav. Tony :-)

Excellent render of the light crossing the sky from this light-house superbly designed and rendered. I like the special angle that makes this building a huge one, towering over the landscape.

the sky looks fantastic, the midnight blue color and cloud cover are just right, and the way the eye gets drawn down to the base, with all the detail and plants--excellent!
