I am a geek by trade and "artist" by hobby. I enjoy the visual arts and computer-based audio production. I worked for several years as a professonal photographer both as a photojournalist and in a portrait studio. But my true enjoyment was taking my Nikon 35mm SLR and wandering about capturing anything that caught my eye.Â
It wasn't until 2008 that I discoverd that something I really wanted to get into, 3D, had become accessible to a hobbyist like myself. Oh man what fun it has been. I still have sooo much to learn... Â

Like you said, trial and error is a good learning tool. There is a lot to learn. Some people figure it out while others do not. I'd say you'll be one of those who figure things out. At this altitude, you would see smoke coming out of the engines. I was told this after I posted some Phantom images in the Poser/Military section.
