Description

I've mentioned thse guys in passing in messages to other members, so here's a male king parrot in all his glory. Not as big as a galah but much bigger than a budgie. I found this guy today, and he didn't seem to be too worried about me-- he was checking me out as I checked him out. As is often the case in the bird world, the colouring of the males is more flambuoyant than the females.

He is so gorgeous, and intelligent looking. I really appreciate you posting these awesome images - I never knew about all of these beautiful birds before.
