Description

"Inverted bonsai, Is it true that fruit falls up For little Newton?" ~ 01101001

I like the swoop of old wood in this pine bonzai at the Morikami Japanese gardens. The little burst of pine needles are a nice contrast to the dead wood. That, and the repetitive details in the background made for an interesting image, at least for me. As always, I recommend viewing it full size. -----

Usually a busy background detracts, but not this time! It adds! Excellent composition, and effect. Love it. ;o)

Superb image, the horizontal lines make a great backdrop in this and the tree in the back blends well and compliments the sculpture beautifully, great work !!

Looks like the antlers of various African antelopes, Mr Kort. I was going to make a pun about the word, bonsai, but thought better of it.

This is an intense image: something of a Zen riddle as well. I look at it and I'm amazed that nothing is lost in this image. There's a lot of complexity here, but the colors are all within a limited range, which SHOULD add to confusion, and it doesn't. Fantastic work!

Wow. This is awesome! The shape of the full-sized tree and the fence in the background are wonderful elements in and of themselves, and add a nice depth to the image. They also serve to focus our attention back on the main subject. An unbeatable combination! I bet this wouldn't be half as stunning in color. You rock!
