Description
This was taken at a state park (Spring Mills) located in Indiana. It was sitting there in the tree watching a family below having lunch. You could tell the racoons at this park were use to people being around.

Fowl tempered creatures. They look sweet and cuddly but they are mean and can tear you to pieces of you get too close. Great shot of this one. Be happy it stayed up in the tree.

MsLubner: You are correct by all means but I want to add this, we have fed so many from our old home with thick woods behind that they got so used to us we "might" get about 5-6 feet close before I hear a certain sound not a growl or threatning rasp, more of a bark/warning, they would come out daily about 4-6PM way before sundown or dark, have come to how back door, they would look in lower pane of glass and "squeeker" (cat) is staring back, coon screems-cat screems, we spass-out, But I love the shot, what I would give to raise a pup, but cant as we have squeeker and he own's us so we cant have another critter in the house...
