Hello or good evening to you all! Yesterday we had a short discusion here about birds - so this is dedicated to Lucindawind: This pic here shows some of these cormorans, too. They have a small colony in the trees at the left side. This is a small island with a refugium for rare animals as these birds. Entering these island is strictly forbidden for normal people like us. Only scientists enter here.... This is one of two colonies I know about, maybe there are one or two more. None of these colonies counts more then 50 birds. Cormorans here are an indicator for relatively clear water with a lot of different fishes inside. Things turn to the better side, and thats good. And folks, don`t forget: We are in Germany here! I´m sure, every bird has a name, a number (very important!), a ring around its leg, a passport, a security police, a hospital`s document, and the scientists know very well, what every bird eats, how much and when......LOL Thanks for looking in here, comments are welcome.
