Description

no just once a year .morning all :o) amangower a beautiful cherry tree in my back garden ,is just starting to colour up its buds along with the montana clemantis that grows through it .should be a riot of pink in another week .been a long winter this year and can`nt wait for it to brighten and warm up :o).. i fought with myself to get myself going yesterday i think i won .i hate feeling sorry for myself but sometimes pain just gets you down and you start to think why bother .anyways these buds are from that cherry tree in my garden ,i just happened to be looking out of the window at the rain and a couple of pigeon visitors were jostling near the tree .this little bit of branch got caught in the battle and fell to the floor .so went out to get it and noticed a few of the tulip buds had gone over aswell so brought them in for a photo shoot .i put them in a vase which is why you can see a tulip stem at the back of this ,i liked it there so did`nt postwork it out . thanks for looking and your continued support .have a great day and take care mick

I agree Mick. Beautiful. When i feel down i take my dogs and make a long walk in the forest. To see them playing and all the beautiful plants makes me always feel better. :)

Wow! Mick this almost bursts into my room crashing right out of the screen. A tremendous macro. I see that its the great postwork that helps this effect! And I get days like that myself, its an effort to get motivated, keep your chin up mate and I hope to see you producing some more of the outstanding work like alot of your recent uploads.

wonderful photo.... overcoming negativity (especially when it seems justified) is damn near impossible... it's like the opening paragraphs of 'moby dick' where ishmael says, "...whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; ... - then, I account it high time to go to sea as soon as I can."

A very impressive upload Mick, you started with an excellent shot and made it even better, love the postwork. I know what you mean mate, when you think 'Why?', there's no real answer, you just have to 'Pick yourself up dust yourself down and start all over again'. Hey that would make a good line in a song, ROFLMAO. You know what I mean! Excellent job you have done with this Mick, I must get into doing some postwork myself, I just can't find the time. Bravo!!!!!

This is a stellar macro! Such wonderful distinct detail and rich color. Getting up is always a good place to start to lift the mood. I imagine the rain didn't help though. Good thing this love branch and the tulips got your attention. Look what a wonderful thing it produced besides taking your mind off things!

Beautiful image, excellent postwork, and I love the composition! The tulip stem is the perfect foil for your cherry branch. The way it continues on through the image gives this a grace it would not have otherwise had.
