Description

How do you ease the pain of innocence lost? Painfully watching those you love self-destruct. Wanting so much to take away the pain, but not knowing how. Afraid to look, but afraid to look away. Not wanting to give up, but powerless to stop the destruction. Watching as each new horror rips away at your soul. Thinking it can't get any worse, but knowing in your heart it can and it will. Praying to God to make their pain go away and give them peace. Hating yourself for your ignorance, and questioning your worth as a mother...... Hoping against hope that one day they will be free of the pain that haunts the ones you love more than life itself. God make them whole. ........Chris

Drawing pain in pictures with words, well done Chris. I assume there is personal experience in this. Good luck!

Nothing worse than having to watch that happen, been there, done that, ~~ may you find the strength to get thru it.

It might sound trite, but everything happens for a reason, and all we can really hope for is that we can find the strength to see the good (e.g. lesson) in every situation. I wish you all the best with your heartache; I hope I never have to deal with the same issues with my own child. hug!

Very moving and powerful words dear Chris, and I feel for you as my own daughter gave me this pain, but now she is grown we are the best of friends. Trouble is now her own daughter gives her worse pain than my daughter ever gave me, so she can understand too. Hope all works out well for you in the end, my friend, hugs Jane xx

A heart-felt poem with honest powerful clarity. I will never understand why bad things happen to good people. Best of luck to you and to your family.

Sorrowly,as mothes (orfathers) we can not make life easy for our children. We can ive them our love, our unconditional love, but that's all. Every being has his challenges. As I see it we are born with a backpack, with challenges we have to meet, that no mother can bear for us. That is what makes us human. Great heartfelt writing!

People in general will say, have said, mothers need to take care of themselves in order to have the strength, endurance, wisdom, etc, to take care of others. Children learn more from parents than parents realize. Love is unconditional and is easy for a parent whom gives love to a child to identify with. Everyone is capable of love, unconditionally. Love comes from within each of us. If we are in need of finding it, look inside. Take care of you love yourself unconditionally. You are human you are not permanently ignorant. Although, if you experience an ignorant moment, don't beat yourself up, you're not alone, all humans have done this and do this. The point is, in order to help your children know peace, first you must experience it, love yourself as you love your children. All of me, love, Wolfspirit.
