Before we met,
I fought the fight,
With darkened skies,
In the dead of night;
But, now with you,
night seems like day,
The rays of love,
Will light the way.
Heart to heart,
Back to back,
Souls entwined,
We'll repel any attack;
We tend each other's wounds,
And mend each other's soul,
We'll ease each other's pain,
And make each other whole.
Though, one of us may be large and strong,
And the other wise and swift,
We will always walk as equals,
And that truly is our gift;
once in a while, one of us may,
Fight a battle, of our own,
But in our hearts, we'll be together,
So we'll never fight alone.
I'm so glad that I found you,
And together, come what may,
We'll fight life's battles hand in hand,
...Oh, what monsters we will slay!

Yes,i wrote the poem, but i wouldn't really call it poetry...all it does is rhyme (like an advertising jingle).
