21.000 participants in Red-Cross Blossom-walk
Yesterday I walked with my oldest son’s partner the 16th Blossom-walk in the center of Holland were all the fruit is coming from!!
At 10.30 we were too late for the 40 km ( 25 miles) but instead of that we did the 25 km (16 miles) distance.
Walking with a crowd is not my thing, but together with a young lady (and for the Red Cross) it’s something different.
We had a very, very enjoyable day with a lot of fun, we made the distance in five hours and three-quarters of an hour, including short breaks!!
There was only white colored blossom (pears and plums) and too early for the pink apple blossom. On the photo you see some pear-blossom. But walking alongside a little river is always very relaxing.
There was all-day long overcast with hardly any sun, but excellent walking weather and anyhow too many people for photo’s.
We finished the day with the rest of the family in the bar until late!! And today we had nice sunny weather and we did our normal Sunday walk in the Dunes as a good start for the new week!!

I've never done a group walk for any reason. I always have done my walking by myself or with no more than 2 other people. It must be an interesting walk with so many. this is a very lovely spring blossom. :-)
