Description
I've been in a "second hand" bookshop today and stumbled across some old Flash Gordon comics, which, evidently!, inspired me for this picture. Trying to got this "retro feeling".
Aery Soul's Alice, Xenon and 50's Rocketship, Olympus Mons hangar, ParticleFX, pwSurface and Dreamlight's MoodMaster (again!).
I added pwSuface to all props, but not to the ParticleFXs, plugged a HDRimage into the Indirect Lightning channel added one shadowmapped Spotlight and rendered it. Did two MM renders, one for the depth mask and one for the DeepFog, a bit of compositing in Photoshop and off it went!

This is indeed bursting with that retro feel you were going for, and I should know, I remember seeing Flash Gordon at the cinema when it first came out, lol. Not sure I would feel safe in that rocket ship of hers though! ;) Great render, well done. :)
