Description

Well welcome back again, and thank you very much for your interest in my Valley terrain works I have been doing a lot lately :-) RR upload #1660505 thumb_1660505.jpg
-- I fixed the last terrain, and added quite a bit of new elements. 5 different ladies Rams and also wolves. But very hard to discern at this distance lol. and ughhhh!! the houses did not align how I intended them to be. and also, most the trees are gone?!! Vue seems to play head games with me, when running out of reserve memory lol Oh well, I uploaded this anyways :) Note: had to save with 95% quality / image was to large for RR lol

This is so cool, it doesn't make any difference that the houses aren't aligned in grid formation, it somehow adds to the charm of the scene this way. Well done! Ummm what ladies? lol

Now you need a way to strew the roads to connect the houses. This is modern suburbia especially in hilly areas. This view is most seen on TV when a forest fire or earthquake hits. Otherwise, the closeups hide it.

Kudos on all the work put into this. Must be frustrating how items in the scene don't cooperate! Has a certain charm, though--like the results of not a devastating earthquake, but serious tremors where everyone's home gets shifted around ... a wild ride! Hey, I don't even know yet how to construct scenes like this, but hope to learn. Good work, man!

Looks fantastic! however, I don't see any crops growing on any of the farms; how do they eat and pay their bills?

Wow! This one is fantastic. I think I like this one the best so far. You have such great detail in this. It must have taken quite a while to render.

Love the terrain, and definitely share your pain with objects not going/lining up where they are intended to in Vue!!

This is rather like a "planned community" looks like in Modesto. ;o) just joking ... it looks very charming! Perhaps next you should have a closer image with details of what is going on. That would be interesting, too. I feel as though being in an airplane and looking down at the "ants" and miniature cars, animals. Lots of hard work went into this one, and it shows.

Mmm, I see what you mean, Mike. There is a lot of work here. Setting the gridded fields out is one thing. I suppose you could paint an ecosystem with livestock in different fields, but as for the random, 'non-aligned' farm house and buildings, I suppose a wee bit of personality is allowed. I am sure that you can paint the trees on as a separate ecosystem. A thought would be to make the houses as billboards ( which always face the camera ). That way they would be aligned roughly, and it would cut down the polygon count as well. See http://www.e-onsoftware.com/support/tutorials/?page=22&cf=%2Fsupport% 2Ftutorials%2Findex.php ( all on one line.. ) Good luck, my friend. Warm regards, John..
