Description

Omey Island (Irish: Iomaidh) is a tidal island situated near Claddaghduff in the western edge of Connemara, Ireland ( 53°32′07″N, 10°09′27″W). It is the closest of the other small islets of the Irish coastal zone. There is a route across the sand to the island and, at high tide, the water is deep enough to cover a car. To help in the last moments before the water becomes too deep (or the mist rolls in and visibility drops to zero), there are conventional street signs to indicate the highest route. LL'île d'Omey (en irlandais : Iomaí) est une île située près de Clifden, dans le Connemara, en Irlande. Sa principale caractéristique est d'être une île accessible à marée basse. Notre voyage en Irlande a été parsemé de vrais joyaux. Des paysages qui rappellent le film culte avec P Noiret "taxi mauve"

Je vois que tu es un grand voyageur ! J'étais aussi dans le connemara mais il y a très longtemps et ça me rappelle de très bons souvenirs !! J'aime bien la perspective de la route qui conduit le regard vers l'horizon.......personnellemnt j'aurais pas cadré l'horizon à la moitié mais je suppose que tu aimais bien le grand nuage du haut !!!

j'aimais le grand nuage tout en conservant une certaine intimité au paysage .... les proportions 1/3 2/3 sont en largeur..... mais la remarque est pertinente.

Ah! Emile, je suis obligé de mettre cette photo merveilleuse et lumineuse dans mes favoris, elle me rappelle deux années de ma vie passée à Galway où je travaillais à l'Université, et à sillonner le Connemara dans ma vieille 4L bleu pervenche! Quant à cette fraction de la côte, je peux t'assurer qu'elle m'est plus que familière.Que d'émotions!
