Description
I always thought that I could make it on my own Since you left I hardly make it through the day My tears get in the way And I need you back to stay
Anyone remember that song? Always brought a tear to me when I heard it.. and sort of fits my mood today, and this photo.. hope you enjoy. This little guy got separated from the rest, I sat and watched him for what seemed over an hour the other night, and watched them searching for him. Maybe mamma needs a leash for this one. I wish you ALL a great day !

I watched one once that tried to join another family. It was lost and seemed really scared. The mother of the other chicks ran it off many times and then finally paddled off quickly with her brood, leaving the one lost chick alone. I couldn't stay any longer to see what happened to it, and I fought the urge to pick it up and take it with me, but there were other duck families not far away so I'm hoping its mom finally found it. Great shot. We all feel a bit lost sometimes. But like this lost chick and others, eventually we find our way back to the security of home and family and peace of mind.

I love the paleness of the water and that the only details are the ripples and the reflection! Great capture!

I can't get over this water, it's so flat calm, it's only because the chick is moving that there is any ripples at all. Excellent capture. Bravo!!!!!

The imagery is wonderful. I think we can all relate to the feeling lost sometimes. Whether we're in a crowded room with friends and family or just walking by ourselves in the forest of humanity. We are always and never alone. The important thing is that we do come back to the ones we love and that they come to us when we need them too. Again great image very thought provoking as well as emotional image!

amazing how people seem so much more readily moved to comment on the apparent plight of an animal than they are on the very real anguish of a fellow human being... stunning shot, my dear friend, as always... hope you feel better soon
