Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I wonder what the neighbors think. I wonder if this is a statement to the neighbors. Interesting! See those stairs? Our previous next door neighbor painted his whole house that color. His wife liked the color. The real estate agent made him repaint it before he would list it for sale. Whew! ;)

WOW! Aside from its size and architectural style, this house would fit in Prague! Honestly, I've seen entire buildings here in day-glo orange...which...surprisingly enough, looks REALLY GOOD! Well...the building in question was more a kind of day-glo tangerine. As for this wonderful whimsy, I have to say that I absolutely love it! It's definitely a statement of individuality, and you've got my curiosity piqued. What does it look like inside? I love this capture! Especially the sense of color!

And the resident is blind and her ex-husband offered to paint the house for her before he packed up and left her for another woman ... LOL I think I'll let you have this one, Marilyn, and I'll stick with the old thing that needs major repair. Good shot though...and an interesting find.:-)

Superb colors... I like Marilyn!

OMG, whatever possessed the owner(s) of this house to conjure up such an outlandish color scheme? Surely an assault upon the senses. A perpetual conflict between the pink of the front/trim and the red bricks. At least the cream colored walls display some sense of propriety. Anyway, a fine POV, stellar clarity and textures in this capture, Marilyn.
jocko500
real cool. may be the way they painted the house was to tell what they positon was in life. That how it wss here a long time ago. [like the 1800's]
