Description
One of the many things I did while in Atlanta was go to a roller hockey game with my friend. Her grandson was playing on a team of kids 7-9 years old. It was so much fun, but what I loved was that the goalies were GIRLS, and let me tell you, not much got by either of them. AND, there was a time out because one of the girl's ponytails came undone and her mom had to rush onto the rink to help her tie it back up~~~just getting the helmet off took a couple of minutes!! I'm not sure I even know which team won, they were having such a great time skating their hearts out~~who cares??!!

Nice captures! I would have loved to have gone with you. My nephew played ice hockey ... must be more than ten years ago, now ... and I grew to really enjoy watching them play! (They had girls on the teams even way back then!)

I'm not at all surprised. I know I played forward in field hockey in high school and our team was driven and quick. Wonderful shots. :-)

Great capture, Marilyn. Must have been really fun watching these kids play. As far as the pony tail, mom should have just brought along a scissors...that would have solved that problem...lol. I'm devilish this morning!

Great Fun Marilyn, we have girl soccer teams big time now, when I was a kid it was unheard of. Good for them! Nice shot. Also in the UK Ice hockey was introduced in the 80's from North America and became really popular, my son used to go watch "Manchester Storm", there were many of the star players had come over from Canada.

There's a young woman not far from my house that was on the England Ladies Rugby Team, she had to get sponsors so that she could go on a tour of Asutralia, she was only tiny and no way would you think of her as a Rugby player. She managed to get sposored and went on the tour, that was about eight years back. My daughter played soccer for the school but they stopped mixed teams at age eleven. She also did rugby for a short while. Excellent capture of these two Marilyn, it suprisses me that they can move with all that padding on.lol. Bravo!!!!!
