Description

This one took a bit of time to construct as all of the lattice terrains are stacked, one upon another...a few are turned on their side for interest. The terrain mat used for the rock effect is found not in the rock/stone section, but under vegetation and is the Hemlock trunk mat. A bit of experimenting with using other mats for the desired effect. The mist on the water is Jetstream in the clouds section. The pebbly surface can also be seen thru the water on this one. Lighting for this one drove me batty as I couldn't decide on which one I wanted. So, I settled on what you see. Thanks for viewing and commenting. Fabulous transparent type water Keith, I always like it when you can see below the water line. Great terrain work as always and yes, lighting can drive me scatty at time as well but you've done well here. Tony :-)

Man, Keith, you're really on a roll with these brilliant landscapes. Your technique of multiple terrains should be taught in Bryce school, and your experimentation with mats and lighting ALWAYS pays off. The stratafication of the rock is photo quality realism at its best, with just the right amount of personal artistic embellishment. (P.S. -- Did you disable voting? I'm kind of sick of voting, what with all we're going through in the States right now. I think I'll shut mine off too...it's simply the people and comments I enjoy.) Peace.

You have a profound sense of geological aesthetics, if there is such a thing! Well, according to me there is! I love your rock textures, especially in this piece. The rock strata are fantastic, as is the sense of realism, especially in the ripply, crystalline water. Fantastic work!

A very skilled render Keith,I especially like the terrain beneath the water showing through the rippled surface, and the use of a trunk texture for a terrain mat is something I wouldn't have thought of...bravo!

Great terrain work. And also the water, but I can't tell if the water is a reflection or if I'm seeing another terrain through the water. Either way, it's great!

I love how you almost always have water in your images, it somehow makes them come alive; the terrain is amazing, you really nailed it here!!
