My real name is Curt. I'm originally from Kentucky (USA), currently living in Wisconsin. I'm divorced with three kids, and love to take photos. Thank you to all who have kind words to say about my my photos, and thanks for the needed criticism as well. I really want to get better at this, and am working on getting better equipment as well. ;-)

A wonderful image. To me it looks slightly overexposed, but I think that actually does the capture justice and adds to the beauty of it. :-) I never saw a bird exactly like this, but around here we have some Grey Herons, and when I see one I am always amazed by how graceful they look - when they walk around they look all regal, and when they take flight they seem calm, gliding through the air as if gravity doesn't exist for them. :-D

I guess I commented on the "other" egret shot. The white stands out well against the background browns. Lovely capture of this magnificent coastal bird.
